I guess it really is not a tradition but just a natural thing that Aunts give nieces stickers. Or the way they use to call them they are seals. Then they get passed down sometimes.
I thought you might get a Kick out of this set I found this morning and saw the name on the envelope. I scanned it in for you.
Sometimes this information is interesting because you find that the same stuff you like can be almost a family trait to like simmilar things. I find I like these so much that I also have a hard time thinking of using them and wish to save them too.
Sincerely, Lia

Emma - Jacob Graef Family Picture

Albert, Alfred, Jacob

Clara, Gertrude, Emma Graef
This is an awesome picture..
That man is definitely a Graef,, the chin, eyes, ears all match the family profile
So he has to be Jacob Graef and the woman must be Emma Skrable (his first wife)
The baby is Gertrude Graef .. then the girl center back might be Clara Graef born Nov 8, 1889..
Emma and Jacob have two other daughters Margaret and Pauline and two sons.. Alfred and Albert (boy in picture)
Clara went with her father Jacob (when he separated from Emma) to Oklahoma around 1910
Clara was probably the oldest of the Graef girls and 21 when she went to Oklahoma with her father Jacob..
Clara marries Peter.. ( Jacobs brother) they have two boys Edward Graef (born 1910) and my father Fred (born 1911) were both born in Oklahoma
Jacob marries a Lillie C Burns in 1910 they have a son George Frederick born Sep 23 1911
Jacob Graef returns to Iowa with new wife Lilie and has another son Nicholas Syvester born Dec 6 1913 in Iowa City
Lillie separates from Jacob and and returns with boys (George and Nick) to Oklahoma about 1914
Jacob Graef's life story is a complicated one and the details of his later life is still a mystery.. but he might have remarried again in Polk County, Iowa to a lady named Minnie
if anyone has more information about Jacob Graef's life .. pictures or final resting place.. please send to us
Thanks to Lia Burris whose Grandmother is Gertrude Graef for this very helpful photo...
Thanks to Pat Graef and Brenda Ridgeway for information about Jacob while he was in Oklahoma

Hello Bob,
I was letting you know I finally got your package in the mail yesterday. I was waiting on the marriage papers from Pauls Valley. I will just sent that when I get it. Also Mom sent you a couple of Darrells music CD's he sings Southern gospel music in his spare time. Thats his hobby. We are also searching for a picure of Lillie that was married to Jacob. I'll let you know how that turns out.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter. Thank you for the e-card. Ours went well.
Let me know when you get the info I sent.

Talk to you soon,
Brenda and Pat
